Relive John Williams’ beloved music live while
watching the entire movie on a giant screen

Star Wars: A New Hope is the movie that started the legend, the first film in the original Star Wars trilogy. More than 70 orchestra musicians will play the soundtrack live at the prestigious Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall.  Created by five-time Academy Award®-winning composer John Williams, the epic music takes on a new dimension when played accompanying the full movie projected onto the big screen.
In Star Wars: A New Hope,  nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke’s Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of the evil Empire. Although Obi-Wan sacrifices himself in a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader, his former apprentice, Luke proves that the Force is with him by destroying the Empire’s dreaded Death Star.
Oscar®-winning composer John Williams’ Star Wars “Main Title” theme has become part of popular culture since it was first heard accompanying A New Hope in 1977.   It is no surprise that Williams’ orchestral compositions for Star Wars are among the most beloved and recognizable themes in cinematic history, from the classic “Main Title” theme to the ominous “Imperial March” from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back to the stirring “Duel of the Fates” from the prequel trilogy.  The powerful score of A New Hope will resonate like never before at the magnificent Cultural Centre Concert Hall.
An official Star Wars concert is coming to Hong Kong for the first time, an event not to be missed!
